Irvine retains ‘Safest City’ title for 12th straight year

Irvine is America’s Safest City of its size – again – according to the latest FBI statistics.

The FBI’s Annual Uniform Crime Report, released this week, shows Irvine with the lowest rate of Part 1 violent crime for cities of 250,000 people or more. That includes: murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, larceny-theft, auto theft and arson.

This marks the 12th consecutive year that Irvine has earned the Safest City designation. More details here.
